This brand was born out of love, necessity, and a refusal to give up on the people we care about most.
Twenty years ago, during my father's cancer treatments, his skin became painfully fragile. Chemotherapy left it cracked, burning, and reactive to nearly everything. At the same time, my young daughter struggled with sensitive, inflamed skin that couldn't tolerate conventional products. Anything they applied caused stinging and discomfort. So I did what I was raised to do — I started making something better.
Growing up on a small farm, I learned early how to create from scratch. By eight years old, I was making goat cheese and canning alongside my mom. She had a "can-do" spirit — if something didn't work, she tried again until it did. That persistence shaped me. When my father and daughter needed relief, I did the research and went back to the kitchen table and began formulating gentle, soothing creams designed to comfort compromised skin.
What started as homemade remedies became what we now call Wonderbalm — a rich, deeply restorative cream that seemed to calm even the most distressed skin. Life eventually became full, my father passed, and the formulas were tucked away for a season.
Then last summer, my daughter experienced a severe flare of dermatitis, eczema, and acne. Doctor visits brought little relief. At the same time, a dear friend's father was undergoing chemotherapy and suffering painful skin reactions. I returned to my original recipes — refining them with clean, natural preservation methods — and began again.
Within five weeks, my daughter's skin cleared. My friend's father felt real relief from burning and cracking. That was the moment I knew this work wasn't finished.
For 29 years, I have dedicated my life to education, working with at-risk youth and underserved communities. Helping people heal, grow, and feel seen has always been my calling. This skincare line is simply another expression of that same heart — nurturing from the outside in.
We believe that sometimes peace begins on the surface. When skin is soothed, the nervous system softens. When irritation calms, confidence returns. Self-care can be the doorway to deeper restoration.
Today, we handcraft small-batch skincare and candles designed to bring comfort, calm, and care into everyday life — because healing should feel gentle, not harsh.
